New Life

“Is this not the fast that I choose…
to share your bread with the hungry
and bring the homeless
poor into your house…”

Isaiah 58:6-7

What is New Life Workforce Housing?

New Life serves working families in Miami-Dade County who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We aim to prevent or reduce the emotional traumas that result when people lose their homes.

This motel-style facility provides a safe environment for 15 families to take refuge while they get back on their feet. Children are the central focus of New Life. Staff and volunteers work to bring a sense of normalcy after turmoil by nurturing them through structured activities. We build self-esteem and encourage personal growth through:

– Art Therapy
– Tutoring
– Academic and Family Counseling
– Field trips that provide educational opportunities in a fun-filled atmosphere

Our wrap around services empower our clients to regain financial and emotional stability, access and maintain permanent housing, and build strong family relationships. By providing a transitional home to our families, New Life Transitional Housing affords clients the opportunity to reflect on their situations and develop supervised plans for returning to self-sufficiency. This process facilitates personal and professional growth allowing our clients to grab hold of new beginnings.
