Friends of New Life
New Life Family Center began operating in 1989 under the auspices of the Christian Community Service Agency (CCSA). It is one of very few transitional housing facilities that caters to families who are homeless. In 1997 CCSA closed and a dedicated group of volunteers worked tirelessly to raise funds and keep the shelter open.
New Life became part of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami, Inc. in December 2000.The diverse group of volunteers from many congregations and denominations, now known as Friends of New Life, continue to provide vital support.
