Each year some 70,000 refugees are granted resettlement in the United States. Many come only with the clothes on their backs because they have fled political persecution, religious oppression, and other forms of persecution.
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami, Inc. has a long history of welcoming, receiving, and preparing refugees, entrants, and asylees for their new lives in the United States. Settling in a new country can be difficult, especially for people who do not speak English.
Our Refugee Resettlement and Employment Programs help new arrivals integrate into our community, and become self-sufficient without relying on public assistance.
