you did this to one of the least

of these brothers of mine,

you did it to me"

Outreach Services to the Haitian Community

Our Pierre Toussaint Haitian Center supports individuals and families from Haiti by helping them acculturate to life in the

United States. Stabilization services include:

  • Information and Referrals
  • Culturally appropriate workshops on strengthening families, parenting skills, and prevention of domestic violence

Your decision to donate helps Haitian immigrants to establish new roots in the United States.

We continue to provide resources to support earthquake victims in Haiti. Through our partnerships with the Archdiocese of Miami,

Catholic Relief Services and CARITAS, we have provided temporary shelter, food, and medical supplies. We are also assisting

Haitians evacuated to the United States by:

  • Processing and classifying evacuees as they arrived in Miami, Homestead, and Orlando
  • Providing 1,000 evacuees and host families with emergency cash assistance, food and clothing vouchers.
  • Providing 250 evacuee families with a 13-week trauma debriefing workshop
  • Collaborating with Mercy Hospital to provide follow-up care for medical evacuees
  • Collaborating with FIU to ensure that eligible evacuees can continue their college education
  • Providing room, board, and clothing to four Haitian families who were evacuated for up to 12 months.
