Housing & Shelter Services

Homelessness is caused by a complex set of circumstances such as: a shortage

of affordable housing, a lack of affordable healthcare, unstable employment, domestic

violence, addiction, and mental illness.  These situations force people to choose

between housing, food, prescriptions, and other basic needs.  Catholic Charities

of the Archdiocese of Miami, Inc. supports the life and dignity of homeless families and

children by providing transitional housing and shelter programs.

"Is this not the fast that I choose…

to share your bread with the hungry

and bring the homeless

poor into your house..."
Isaiah 58:6-7
